Our approach to CO₂ neutrality begins with reducing emissions throughout the production chain. We offset our annual carbon emissions based on the volume of capsules produced, which is equivalent to the following examples:

  •      3,418,616,717 KM by car.
  •      1,081,130 Paris-New York roundtrip air travel per passenger.
  •      288,119,225 reams of paper.


As we know that not all of them can be reduced immediately, Lavazza uses residual emissions compensation by supporting a project in Peru born to protect the forests of Madre de Dios from the pressure of human settlements. In 2020 we started our journey offsetting direct emissions and achieving full offsetting. This is all part of our broader commitment to sustainability, an initiative called Blend for Better. It includes projects that follow the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 in 4 areas: Caring for the Environment, Unleashing a virtuous circle, Expanding possibilities and Educating for change.
